The Followers Mission

This is The Followers Mission, a soup kitchen/outreach facility for the homeless, and an adjoining chapel. You can find it on Sherbourne Street just north of Queen. Although a small building already, the ceramic tile on the Mission has the effect of making the building appear even smaller than it actually is. The tiny chapel is especially interesting because if the signage was not there, the form and the materials provide no indication of the function. It appears to be constructed as a low budget infill project but it is unclear whether it was always intended to be a chapel.
